Who we are

The New Mexico Fraternal Order of Police (NMFOP) proudly represents the dedicated men and women of law enforcement across our state. As part of the nation’s largest organization of sworn law enforcement officers, we serve as the unified voice for those who protect and serve New Mexico’s communities.

Our mission is to empower law enforcement through unity, advocacy, and collaboration. We work to strengthen the bond between officers and the communities they serve through professional development, charitable initiatives, legislative action, and mutual support.

The NMFOP is committed to advancing the interests and wellbeing of every officer through our Labor Committee, which provides guidance, representation, and support in matters of employment, working conditions, and collective bargaining. We stand beside our members in protecting their rights and ensuring fair treatment in the workplace.

In addition, our organization actively participates in political and legislative advocacy, representing the concerns of law enforcement at the state and local levels. We work with policymakers to promote fair, effective laws that support public safety, enhance officer wellness, and strengthen trust between law enforcement and the community.

Founded on the enduring principles of brotherhood, integrity, and service, the NMFOP continues to build a stronger voice for New Mexico’s law enforcement community — one rooted in professionalism, accountability, and a shared commitment to those we serve.
